3. Bekanta dig med MS-SQL 2000 servern (jag går igenom denna med er senare):

   Det har kommit en MS-SQL 2005 server också, men den avvaktar vi med.
   Citrix trivs ändå bäst med Oracle som vi också skall titta på
   Failover funktioner osv funkar inte så bra med MS-SQL.
   Väljer man ingen databas när man installerar Citrix används Access.

4. How do you start Citrix access suite ?
   You must have the product codes and generate key files with them on Citrix homepage.
   "Metaframe Access Suite Licensing Guide.pdf" (mainly chapter 5)
   Get license files to license server from: http://www.mycitrix.com
	License files are locked to hostname
   Register and activate your keys.
   Download keys
   Copy keys to license server: C:\Program Files\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles
   Restart licensing server: 	net stop citrixlicensing 
				net start citrixlicensing

   licensing server is listening on tcp port 27000 as default
	netstat -an
	...
	TCP	192.168.149.130:27000	0.0.0.0		LISTENING
   Depending on license it is qualified for one or more servers.

   Checking keys validation on license server:
   Start c:\Program Files\Citrix\Licensing\LS\lmtools.exe
   Select mode licensing file
   Then goto Server Status and click Perform Status Enquery
	Number of licenses are last in list that follows.

5. Add some local users on citrix stand alone server or domain users to a member.

6. Deploy some simple service, here notepad.exe or windows mediaplayer..
   On Citrix server, open "presentation server console"
   Actions -> New published application
   Click on browse and Click on your server and select drive, browse your application.
   Add shortcut to desktop if you like
   Continue by selecting the default settings (if you do not like 256 colors)
   When you have advanced to Specify servers, Add your server.
   Specify users, click on your computer and add allowed users
   Tryck på Finish

7. Now the client part remains. First, there are many ways to deploy
   ICA to client hosts. This explains one of them.

   First test your server from within the server. Goto the presentation server console.
   Right click on your server
   Launc ICA server, connect directly to servers desktop.
   It should connect like any remote desktop session, logout.
   
   Now, open the Citrix tools CD, it contains clients for citrix among other stuff. (most steps below are in document: ica32.pdf)

   1. Copy the Client Packager (Ica32pkg.msi) from the Components CD to a local
directory on the server.
   2. Create a share point on a file server that is accessible to your users.

   3. Type the following at a command prompt:
	Msiexec.exe /a path/ica32pkg.msi
	where path/ is the local path where you placed this file in Step 1.
	The Client Packager Setup wizard appears.
   4. Enter the UNC path to the network share point where you want to store the
	customized package.
   5. Select your compression option and click Next.
   6. Select one or more clients to be included in the install package. If you select Program Neighborhood or Program Neighborhood Agent, the Setup wizard for
each client appears.
   7. On the Upgrade Settings page, choose whether or not the install package can upgrade or downgrade existing clients.
   8. On the Select User Dialog Boxes page, specify the dialog boxes displayed to users when they run the install package.
   9. Verify your selections on the summary page and click Finish. The install
package you specified above is created in the specified UNC path.
8. Time to install client on a test client host.
   Open a "file explorer" and type \\server\citrix-clients
   Possible enter a username and password (users you added before)
   Double click on ica32pkg.msi to start installation of client.
   (there should be four files dependent on your previous selection when making the client).

9. Test the citrix client login, on the client now!
   From start meny -> all programs -> citrix -> Program Neighborhood
   Enter a username and password (users you added before) to login
   You should be able to see notepad and possible other applications added.
   As usal double click on notepad, a famous windows start teme should be heard
   and notepad startup.
